Dr. Ket Wray
Founder & Lead Practitioner
Dr. Ket Wray DNP, FNP-BC, DCNP, Trichology Certified brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to Nexus Derm, with a clinical perspective shaped by one core belief: hair and skin conditions rarely exist in isolation. Her approach looks beyond the presenting concern to understand how the body’s systems may be connected.
Her career began in pediatric nursing, where she learned early that lasting care means treating the whole person—not just the presenting complaint. That perspective deepened through her years as a Nurse Practitioner in Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, where she developed the integrative clinical thinking that now defines her approach to complex dermatology and hair concerns.
Dr. Wray earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Northern Kentucky University. Her research focused on the role of nutraceuticals in photoprotection, reflecting her longstanding interest in evidence-based, science-driven approaches to health that extend beyond the prescription pad.
She is nationally board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP), and she also holds additional certification in Trichology. At Nexus Derm, she sees patients of all ages for complex skin and hair conditions, with particular attention to the hormonal, metabolic, nutritional, inflammatory, and lifestyle factors that may contribute to what patients are experiencing.
Her Approach to Care
A Different Way to Look at Hair & Skin
Dr. Ket believes effective care starts with understanding the whole picture. Rather than looking at hair or skin concerns in isolation, she considers how hormones, nutrition, inflammation, metabolism, lifestyle, and overall health may contribute to what you’re experiencing.
By combining evidence-based dermatology with an integrative perspective, she creates personalized care plans based on your individual needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Look Beyond the Symptom
Understand what may be contributing beneath the surface rather than focusing only on what you can see.
Connect the Dots
Consider how hair, skin, hormones, nutrition, inflammation, metabolism, and lifestyle can influence one another.
Personalize the Plan
Build care around your individual needs, concerns, health history, and goals.
Why I Started Nexus Derm
A Practice Built on Listening
I’ve worked in healthcare for many years, and I’ve seen too many people leave appointments without the answers they were looking for. They hear things like, “Your labs look normal,” or “That’s just part of getting older,” and are left feeling like they simply have to live with what they’re experiencing.
That’s why I created Nexus Derm: to build a practice where patients feel heard, have time for questions, and receive care that looks at the whole person — hair, skin, hormones, gut health, and overall wellness.
I believe your symptoms deserve to be understood, not simply managed.
“Your symptoms deserve to be understood, not simply managed.”
